Nova Rose was approximately 6 years old. We rescued her from the Carrolton Shelter on November 11, 2003. She had 2" long toe nails, flea bites, was bald from her shoulders back; her tail had been twisted off nearly to her rump and was a bloody little stump. In December, we discovered she had a grade 3 heart murmur, and nearly died in January of gastroenteritis.

She overcame her fears, and was fearless. She touched everyone with her capacity to love and give. Like a nova; Nova Rose's love burned brightly and was over quickly. She departed for the Rainbow Bridge on May 19, 2004.

We were privileged to have shared our lives with her for 6 months and 8 days.
